Description:
This year's self-guided walking tour offers an opportunity to stroll through seven private gardens beginning on upper Diamond Street.
The first stop at Villa Diamante is a quintessential Tuscan garden with mature olive trees, columnar junipers, and lots of lavender. As you stroll, the fragrances and textures will transport you to Italy.
In another garden, tranquil koi ponds, wooden bridges, and crisscrossing paths create a playful, meditative space nestled down in the canyon.
Diamond Street leads down to famous Woods Cove, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Laguna. In addition to the featured gardens, you will pass historic homes, notable plants, and other points of interest. A mix of newer and older homes and their often tiered gardens will be on display.
 Your $35 ticket includes admittance to the seven featured gardens, tour brochure (with map), bus transportation 'from/back to' the meeting location, and refreshments. Raffle tickets for the fabulous prizes on display may be purchased at the starting location.
A map in the tour brochure guides ticket-holders to the selected gardens, and directs attention to points of historic interest. The brochure includes some history of the area as well as specific information about each of the featured gardens. Garden volunteers will be available in each garden to answer questions.
 Come Prepared to Walk:
As this is a walking tour, it is essential to wear comfortable walking shoes and a wide-brimmed hat to protect you from the hot May sun.
The route itself is short, but many of the gardens, due to their location on the side of a canyon, include steep, uneven steps. Participants should feel confident on uneven garden paths and pavements, changes in elevation, walking up/down steps, narrow paths, and on streets which have no sidewalks.
To enjoy this tour, you should feel comfortable walking up to a mile and being on your feet for 90-120 minutes.
Please allow at least two hours to enjoy all of the gardens. Ticket holders must check in and start the tour by 2PM. Tickets will have full information on where to park and check in at the initial meeting location. Note: no parking is allowed on Diamond Street - the only access will be via the free bus. |

Bus from Meeting Location to Start / from End of Tour:
The meeting location will be printed on the tour ticket. Bus transportation will be provided to the start of the tour and return you back to the general parking location when you are finished with the walking portion of the tour.
Refreshments:
Refreshments and restrooms will be available at the initial/ending meeting location.
Use of Tour Funds:
The garden tour is the Laguna Beach Garden Club's main fundraiser. Proceeds provide financial support for the many environmental, educational, and civic beautification projects of the club, as well as scholarships for local high school and junior college students with an interest in horticulture.

Ticket Information:
Tickets are $35 per person and must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold the day of the tour.
To make the tour more enjoyable for everyone, ticket sales are limited every year. This year we are selling only 500 tickets.
We expect to sell out before tour day - as we have for the past 7 years.
Please note: the tour is held regardless of weather - rain or shine.
You may buy raffle tickets before boarding the bus to start the tour - you may be a winner by the time you finish the tour!!
