We are happy to welcome Sue this month for a return engagement. Sue is an award-winning garden designer, author and speaker.  Last year, she spoke to us about herbs in the garden.  This year, she’ll talk to us about using herbs in the kitchen.  Her presentation is titled, An Herb Lover’s Garden.

Writing, speaking and leading workshops are the ways in which Sue shares her love of gardening and herb-growing all over the country.  She is a member of Garden Writers of America, and her work has appeared in numerous publications.  The Washington State Nursery & Landscape Association named her Educator of the Year.

Sue’s new book, A Taste for Herbs, is a guide to seasonings, mixes and blends using herbs from the garden and includes 50 recipes.  In The Herb Lover’s Spa book, she talks about creating garden sanctuaries and home-grown, hand-blended herb treatments.  She will have copies of her books to sign and sell after our meeting.

Through her business, The Creative Gardener, Sue works with clients to personalize their outdoor spaces –from garden coaching to full landscape design.  Her garden design work has earned gold medals at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show and specialty awards from Sunset Magazine, Fine Gardening Magazine, The American Horticultural Society and others.

To learn more about Sue’s work and publications, visit her on her website, Herb Lover’s Garden, as well as Facebook, Pinterest and other social media.
