In November 2016, we traveled to Torrance to the RainForest. Founder, Paul Isley, gave a great talk on the history of his business and of the tilllansia business as a whole. This included the fact that although tillansias are not native to southeast Asia, because of the favorable climate there, it is becoming a major export industry for those countries. He also gave a lot of information about the characteristics and care of this wonderful air plants. His nursery is a rain forest wonderland, complete with koi and turtles and waterfalls. Many species and sizes are for sale along with everything needed to keep them healthy.
