On Dec. 14, we enjoyed visiting three members’ homes (and gardens) in Laguna Beach that were dressed up for the holidays.

Larry Bourget was the guest speaker at our Dec. 14 meeting, and he talked about “Growing Tillandsias.”

Tales of Trips & Tours by Synthia Scofield … Another terrific tour day!

The featured speaker at our November 9 meeting was Jeff Moore, who made a visually-striking presentation on “Soft Succulents” to an audience of 120 members and guests.

The Board of Directors welcomed 10 new members to the club on Oct. 24 at the New Member Luncheon, held this year at the home of Membership Director, Lisa Fecteau.

Weather was perfect, the tour was informative and interesting, and the food was fabulous – all in all it was another outstanding Trips & Tours excursion on Oct. 26.

Natalie Harlow-Alison led a Green Thumb Craft workshop creating glass flower plates at her home on October 19.

At the 9th annual SmartScape Expo on Saturday, October 13 at Laguna Beach County Water District, even inclement weather didn’t prevent us intrepid club members from spending hours or most of the day at this worthwhile event aimed at educating the community at large about methods of conserving water.

At our October 12 meeting, more than 120 members and guests enjoyed a fascinating presentation by Donald Olson -- “Garden Goddesses:  Four California Women and their Legendary Gardens.” 

On September 28, the Laguna Beach Garden Club had its first “Trips &Tours” of the year to north San Diego County.
