Established in 1959, the garden covers two and one half acres of the upper slopes of Boat Canyon in Laguna Beach, California. The Garden demonstrates the range of plants that can be grown in Southern California coastal zones. It provides a source of visual information and inspiration for visitors planning their own gardens. The use of of fertilizers and chemical controls has been limited in the Garden to encourage a diversity of plant and wildlife species. Our club provides financial support and several of our members volunteer.

This year, LBGC doubled their donation to the Hortense Miller Garden in memory of three members who recently passed away: Louise Buckley, Madeline Visca and Cheryl Begley. With this donation and in the honor of our members, Hortense Miller Garden was able to install some new railing on some pathways in the garden.
